Chantal is an installation artist who uses scale to shift the natural perspective of a subject.
"I am very aware that we live in a state of constant shift and flux. Through my work I try to catalogue a timespan through making marks or making a line of stitches. I watch light fall and move across the surface of the work and all the while I am conscious that time is passing and things are changing. Although I initially outline my work the actual pieces are spontaneous and often evolve as I construct them.
I very rarely keep any of the work as the important process for me is the constant flux that enables work to change."
